How do I stream to a Facebook group?

Requirements

  • You need to be the admin or owner of the group you want to stream to.
  • The StreamWay app will need to be added to your Facebook group.
  • You’ll need a paid plan to unlock streaming to Facebook groups.

How to go live on a Facebook Group

Connect Facebook to StreamWay following this instruction.

Followed the instructions but still don’t see your Facebook group on the list?

There are a few reasons your Facebook group may not show up on StreamWay:

  1. The StreamWay app is not added to your Facebook group.
  2. Your personal account isn’t an admin of the Facebook group.
  3. You haven’t granted permission for a specific group.

The StreamWay app is not added to your Facebook group

  1. Open Facebook groups and choose the group you would like to connect to StreamWay.
  2. Open the Group settings, scroll down to Manage advanced settings and choose Apps.
  3. You will see a pop-up where you will be able to click on “Add apps” if StreamWay is not already listed there.
  4. Search for “StreamWay” and press the StreamWay icon to add it.

Your personal account isn’t an admin of the Facebook group

  1. Log into your Facebook Group and press Activity log on the left side menu.

  2. Choose Admin and moderators and add your personal account as an admin of the group.

You haven’t granted permission for a specific group

Removing and re-adding the Facebook channel should fix that. Please ensure you grant access and check the boxes next to all groups and pages that you’d like to stream to.
