Connect YouTube to StreamWay
Learn how to connect YouTube to StreamWay and start a stream on YouTube without creating an event beforehand.
With over 2 billion users, YouTube is the biggest video-viewing platform in the world and an absolute must-have for anyone thinking of live streaming!
Requirements
- Please make sure streaming is enabled for your YouTube account – you can check that here. Note that it takes approximately 24 hours after you verify your phone number for YouTube to activate your live streaming channel fully.

Video Guidelines
- Resolution: 1280 x 720 or 1920 x 1080
- FPS: 30 or 60 max
- Codec: H.264
- Mode: CBR
- Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds (recommended), do not exceed 4
- Max Bitrate: 10,000 mbps
Audio Guidelines
- Codec: AAC
- Bitrate: 128 Kbps
- Sampling Frequency: 44.1 (AAC)

How to connect YouTube to StreamWay
- Navigate to your StreamWay Dashboard and click the “Add destination” button.
- Click the YouTube icon and choose whether you want to connect your YouTube channel or a specific YouTube event.
- Select your YouTube account from the Authorisation Page and click “Allow“.
- You will then be redirected back to the StreamWay dashboard.
- If you connect your channel, it will automatically be added to your list of destinations.
- If you connect to a specific event, you’ll see a list of your channel’s events.
You are now ready to go live using StreamWay Studio or your Streaming Software!
Make sure to choose the Gmail account connected to your YouTube channel.
Not all Gmail accounts have one. Choosing the wrong account may cause errors or streaming issues.
