Estimated reading: 1 minute 137 views

Let’s take a look at how you can use extra security encryption by enabling RTMPS for your streams!

RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol) is one of the most widely used streaming protocols, allowing the transmission of audio, video, and other data. RTMPS is a variation of the primary protocol, which incorporates an extra layer of security for your stream.

How to enable RTMPS

  1. Head to your Account settings and the “Streaming Setup” section.
  2. Toggle on “Encrypt your stream using RTMPS”.
  3. That’s it! Your RTMP URL will be converted into an RTMPS URL on every part of your account’s interface.
